For the first time, the super-rich 1% in the U.S. has a larger share of wealth (27%) than the entire middle class (26.6%), according to Federal Reserve data.

The wealthiest 10% of Americans own a record 89% of all US stocks.

That’s not how I would’ve framed this up.
It’s almost as if they were afraid to go where it needed to go.
But it was implicitly uncomfortable to watch sending the message subtly if not overtly.
