The GOP has counter-offered Biden’st $1.9 trillion stimulus plan…

(by Half Dollar) There’s gridlock in Washington!

Or so we’re told, by Bloomberg (bold added for emphasis and commentary):

President Joe Biden is set to hear from 10 Republican senators at the Oval Office on Monday about their $618 billion counter-offer to his $1.9 trillion Covid-19 relief package.

Remember, when it comes to handing out free money to the Proles, the game is to delay for as long as possible.

Recall that the second round of stimulus, which Trump signed at the end of December, 2020, was in the works for five months!

That said, it’s only the hyperinflation of the US dollar we’re talking about, so I wouldn’t be looking for something to drag on for months, but rather, for perhaps a week or two.

Continuing (bold added for emphasis and commentary):

The proposal includes $1,000 in direct payments, compared to Biden’s $1,400 proposal. The checks will be phased out starting at $40,000 in earnings a year, with a cap of $50,000. That’s much tighter than the $75,000 to $87,000 phase-out of the payments enacted in a December relief package. Dependent children and adults would receive $500 payments instead of $1,400 payments.

Does that mean a person making $45,000 per year gets exactly half of the stimulus, and what about the person who makes $50,001 per year, but lives in an “expensive” city?

Well, BOHICA!
