The seasonally adjusted estimate for mineral exploration expenditure fell 6.8% to $665.0m in the June quarter 2020, the Australian Bureau of Statistics announced today.
The largest contributor to the fall this quarter was Western Australia (down 7.8%, -$33.3m).
Petroleum exploration tumbled sharply. The seasonally adjusted estimate for total petroleum exploration expenditure over the same time period fell 25.7% to $219.4m.
